Joe Preece - George M. "Joe" Preece, a Certified Petroleum Geologist since 1981, is President of Preece Exploration,
Inc an independent geological consulting firm. After earning a Bachelor Degree in Geology from the University
of South Florida and a Master Degree in Geology from The Johns Hopkins University in 1973, Mr. Preece has
gained over 35 years of experience as a Petroleum Geologist in the mid-continent basins of Oklahoma and
Kansas and the offshore Gulf of Mexico. He is currently serving on a part time basis as Senior Exploration
Geologist for Avalon Exploration, Inc. of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Prior to moving to Tulsa, Mr. Preece served as
Exploration Manager for Woolsey Petroleum Corporation in Wichita, Kansas. A long time resident of Oklahoma
City, Oklahoma, some of the positions Mr. Preece held while living there are; Exploration Manager for
both J. Walter Duncan and Donald C. Slawson. Mr. Preece is a member of several oil and gas related societies.
Mr. Preece has also earned an Associate in Applied Science (Programming & Internet Programming) degree from
Tulsa Community College in 2002.
Mr. Preece is currently available to undertake projects as an oil and gas geological consultant. Projects
may include prospect generation from regional geological studies, economic and investment analysis of oil/gas
ventures, coordination and administration of approved ventures, software development, technical writing
and supervision and OSHA and EPA compliance.
